SEESE PRO – 2-in-1 Pole Saw

It reaches the branch you have been looking at all summer, from the ground, one-handed. That is not the best part. The head angles and rotates a half turn, so you cut square instead of at whatever angle the pole gives you. That is not the best part either. The saw comes off the pole, the battery clips onto it, and now you are holding an 8 in chainsaw.

  • It becomes a handheld chainsawPull the saw off the pole, clip the battery onto it, and you are holding an 8 in chainsaw. Two tools, one purchase, one battery system.
  • The branch you have been looking at all summerExtends to reach high limbs from the ground, and collapses back down to store. No ladder, and nobody holding the bottom of it.

Why the head turns

The part every pole saw page skips.

A fixed head cuts at the pole's angle, not yours

Stand under a branch with a rigid pole saw and the blade meets the wood at whatever angle your arms and the pole happen to make. That is why you end up dragging the chain across bark, burning the bar and finishing with a torn stub instead of a clean collar cut.

One button on this one tilts the head. Another rotates it a full half circle, which is what you need when the cut is on the far side of the branch and you cannot walk round it.

The ladder is the part that hurts people

Pruning injuries are mostly not saw injuries. They are falls: someone on a ladder, holding a running tool, reaching sideways for the branch that is just out of range. Reaching from the ground removes the ladder from the job, and with it the only bit that was ever dangerous.

Why the saw comes off

Once a branch is down it is on the ground, and a pole is the wrong shape for cutting something at your feet. So the head detaches and the battery clips straight onto it: the same motor, the same chain, now an 8 in handheld chainsaw for bucking what you just dropped.

That is the difference between owning a pole saw and owning the two tools the job actually needs.

What changes, week by week

FIRST

It reaches, from the ground

  • Extends to take the high limbs without a ladder
  • Collapses back down to carry and to store
  • One person, one hand, nobody holding the bottom
  • That is not the best part
THEN

The head moves where the branch is

  • One button tilts the head to the angle you need
  • Another rotates the saw a full half turn
  • You cut square into the wood, not across it
  • That is not the best part either
AND THEN

It comes apart into a second tool

  • Pull the saw off the pole
  • Take the battery off the pole and clip it onto the saw
  • You are now holding an 8 in handheld chainsaw
  • Worth it on its own

The questions nobody answers on a product page

One tool that reaches, angles, turns and then comes apart into a second one.

Two tools, one battery system
A pole saw and a handheld chainsaw are two purchases, two chargers and two things to store. Here the saw head is the same head, and the batteries fit both.
The ladder is the dangerous part
Most people who hurt themselves pruning were not hurt by the saw. They were on a ladder holding one. Reaching from the ground removes that entirely.
A half turn, and the cut is square
A fixed pole saw meets the branch at whatever angle the pole happens to give it, which is how you end up sawing at bark instead of into wood. This head tilts and rotates 180 degrees.
One hand, because of where the weight is
Brushless, and balanced at the grip rather than out at the end. A shoulder strap comes in the box for the long jobs.
Two batteries, so the afternoon does not stop
One on the tool, one on the charger. No fuel to mix, no cord to keep out of the cut, nothing to start with a pull.
It sells out in season
Everyone remembers they own a pole saw on the same weekend in spring. That is the weekend it is not in stock.

SEESE PRO is for you if…

  • There is a branch you have been looking at since last summer
  • You have stood on a ladder with a saw and thought better of it
  • You already own a hedge trimmer, a strimmer and no way to reach up
  • Somebody quotes you three figures to take down two limbs
  • You want a handheld chainsaw too, and not two purchases
  • You would rather not mix fuel or pull a starter cord

I bought it for one branch. I did the whole garden
There was a limb over the shed roof I had been ignoring for two summers. It took four minutes. Then I found six more things I had been ignoring.

The handheld is not a gimmick
That was my worry. It is a real 8 in saw, and it is the one I reach for now to cut everything up once it is on the ground.

I am not going back up a ladder
I am sixty-one and my wife had stopped watching me do it. Standing on the lawn with this is a different job entirely.

One hand, which I did not expect
It is balanced where you hold it. I used the strap for the big limbs and did not need it for anything else.

Two tools, or one that becomes both

A pole saw and a handheld chainsaw are two purchases, two chargers and two things to store. A tree surgeon is a phone call and a quote, every time.

Frequently asked questions

How high does it actually reach?

It extends to take limbs well above head height from the ground, and collapses back down to carry and store. Working height depends on how tall you are and how far you can comfortably hold it.

Does the saw really come off?

Yes, and that is the point of it. Pull the head off the pole, take the battery off the pole and clip it onto the head, and you are holding an 8 in handheld chainsaw. Same motor, same chain.

What does the rotating head change?

A fixed pole saw meets the branch at whatever angle the pole gives it. One button tilts this head, another turns it a half circle, so you cut square into the wood even when the cut is on the far side.

Can I use it with one hand?

Most people do for ordinary limbs. It is brushless and balanced at the grip rather than out at the end, and a shoulder strap comes in the box for the longer jobs.

How many batteries come with it?

Two 21 V batteries and the charger. One works while the other charges, which is what stops an afternoon turning into two.

Is there a spare chain?

Yes, plus chain oil. On the oiled version the bar is fed while you cut, which is what keeps a chain from blueing.

Petrol or electric?

Electric and cordless. Nothing to mix, nothing to prime, no starter cord, and no cable to keep out of the cut.

What comes in the box?

The pole saw, the detachable 8 in chainsaw head, two 21 V batteries, the charger, a spare chain, chain oil, a shoulder strap and the manual.
