The Gift That Feels Like Home
Flowers wilt and candles burn out. A handwoven shawl is a permanent reminder of your presence.
A Weight She Can Feel
Measuring 70cm x 180cm, this shawl is heavy enough to actually wrap into. It provides a comforting weight that feels like a constant hug.
Genuine Pure Wool Softness
Unlike mass-produced wraps that feel scratchy and thin, our 100% pure wool is finished by hand for a soft, breathable, and heirloom texture.
The Beauty of Imperfection
Hand-tied fringes and hand-finished selvedges mean each piece is unique. It’s evidence of a vanishing craft that mothers of this generation deeply appreciate.
Heritage over Branding
She doesn't want another logo. She wants a story. Erik’s 51 years at the loom provide a legacy that makes this gift meaningful.

Your Questions Answered
Everything you need to know about Erik's final batch
Is this real wool or a blend?
This is 100% pure virgin wool. Erik selects the finest local fibers to ensure a soft texture that is breathable but significantly warmer and heavier than standard department store blends.
Does it come with the story card?
Yes. Each shawl arrives with a story card about Erik's 51-year career and his Hudson Valley workshop. It makes the gift feel personal and expensive from the moment she opens it.
How do I wash a handwoven shawl?
Pure wool is naturally odor-resistant. If it needs cleaning, we recommend a simple hand wash in cold water with a gentle wool soap and laying it flat to dry.
How big is the wrap exactly?
Most commercial wraps are roughly 50cm wide. Ours is a wide 70cm by 180cm. This allows for a full 'double wrap' around the shoulders, providing that comfortable, blanket-like feel she loves.
Is the stock really limited?
We have 800 units remaining before Erik retires. Once these sell out, the workshop closes, and this specific weave will no longer be available. We recommend ordering now for Mother's Day.
Can men buy this for their wives?
Definitely. While primarily designed for mothers, many husbands purchase this for their wives as a legacy piece because it outlasts anything found in a typical mall or online store.
Where are these actually made?
Erik is a master weaver based in New York's Hudson Valley. Every shawl is hand-finished on his farm, supporting local artisans rather than giant overseas factories.
What is the 'No Polite Smiles' guarantee?
We offer a 'No Polite Smiles' promise. If she doesn't think it's the highest quality shawl she's ever owned, we will take it back, no questions asked, within 60 days.
